ERNET Project Engineer Eligibility Criteria 2026

1. Essential Educational Qualification:
Full-time B.Tech / BE / MCA / M.Sc or equivalent degree in the following relevant disciplines:
- Electronics

ERNET Project Engineer Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected Project Engineer will be responsible for:
- Registration and renewal of domain names under .ac.in, .edu.in, .res.in, .school.in, .alumni.in, vidya.bharat, shiksha.bharat & shodh.bharat.
- Management of the domain registration portal.
- Payment reconciliation and coordination with the integrated payment gateway.
- Troubleshooting queries from domain users and verifying their documents.
- Implementing security measures like SSL certificates for the domain portal.
- Supporting users in developing websites using Website as a Service (WaaS) and Learning Management as a Service (LaaS) with open-source tools like PHP and Drupal.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Creation of new project proposals and any other assigned tasks.
ERNET Project Engineer Salary & Benefits 2026
1. Monthly Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- per month.
- The salary is bifurcated as: 65% Basic Pay + 25% HRA + 10% Transport Allowance.
- Transport allowance is not payable for a complete calendar month of absence.

Selection Process for ERNET Project Engineer 2026
