NCERT Recruitment 2026 : The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the official notification for Advertisement No. 01/2025/Non-Academic. NCERT is inviting online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for 173 Non-Academic posts under Direct Recruitment for its headquarters, institutes, and regional centers across India.

The last date for online submission has been extended. Candidates can now submit their applications through the official NCERT website until 30th January 2026.

NCERT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements as of the crucial date: 16th January 2026.

Educational Qualification & Experience

Qualifications vary widely by post. Candidates must refer to the detailed notification (Pages 5-12 of the PDF) for exact requirements. Key examples include:

  • Superintending Engineer: M.Tech/B.Tech in relevant field with 10-12 years experience in media/ICT.
  • Production Officer: Bachelor’s in Printing Tech/Diploma with 8 years exp.
  • Junior Hindi Translator: Master’s in Hindi/English with translation diploma/experience.
  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 10+2 pass with typing speed (35 wpm Eng/30 wpm Hindi).
  • Lab Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject.

Age Limit

Age limit is post-specific, calculated as on 16th January 2026. General limits:

  • Group A: Up to 35-50 years (varies by post)
  • Group B & C: Typically up to 27-30 years

NCERT Non-Academic Group A, B & C Selection Process 2026

The mode of selection varies by post and is specified in the advertisement. It may involve:

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Test
  2. Skill/Proficiency/Trade Test (For technical posts like Cameraman, Carpenter, etc.)
  3. Interview (For Group A and some Group B posts)

  6. Fill the application form with accurate personal, educational, and category details.
  7. Upload scanned documents (Photograph, Signature, Certificates) in prescribed format.

  9. Review all details, submit the form, and save/print the confirmation page with Unique Registration Number (URN).

Important:

  • No offline applications will be accepted.
  • No changes are allowed after final submission.

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Photograph: Must be clear, full-frontal, without cap/spectacles.
  • Documents: All uploaded certificates must be self-attested. Originals will be verified later.
  • NOC: Candidates employed in Govt./PSU must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ during document verification.
  • Scribe: PwBD candidates requiring a scribe must indicate this in the online form and submit required certificates. Compensatory time will be allowed.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

NCERT Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be placed in the respective Pay Level as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with applicable allowances (DA, HRA, TA, etc.) as per NCERT rules. Approximate gross monthly emoluments at the entry level for key groups:

  • Group A (Level 10-12): Rs. 97,000 – 1,30,000/-
  • Group B (Level 6-7): Rs. 45,000 – 55,000/-
  • Group C (Level 2-4): Rs. 25,000 – 35,000/-
